This week's study covered:
-Baby Moses
-The Burning Bush
-10 Plagues
Last week we finally finished our study of Genesis!
This week, we dove right into the next study of the books of Exodus - Dueteronomy and we met one of the great Old Testament heroes, Moses.
Day One:
We had a brief review of the end of Genesis and the migration of the Israelites to Egypt in the story of Joseph.
Introduce Moses story:
Pharaoh:
- His enslavement of the Israelites
- His orders to have all of the infant boys born to the Israelites thrown into the sea.
- Introduce Baby Moses.
For a change of pace, we read the I Can Read version of the story, Baby Moses and the Princess.
Craft Time, the kids practiced their coloring, cutting and glueing skills as they made construction paper scenes of Baby Moses in the bullrushes.
Day Two:
* We read "The Burning Bush" in our NIrV Read With Me Bible. (pages 101-103)
* Talk about the meaning of "Holy" and why Moses had to take his shoes off because he was on "holy ground".
- Print 2 copies of the coloring page on card stock
- Color the first page
- color on the burning bush on the second page, and cut it out.
- Place a thin layer of glue over the top of the cut out burning bush and sprinkle with glitter (red, yellow orange).
- create an acordian fold with a strip of cardstock and glue one end to the back of the glitter burning bush. Glue the other end on top of the burning bush on the uncut page.
- I glues the bases of the burning bushes together to create a more solid hold.

Today we colored / painted the 8 pie piece sections of our plague wheel and then left them to dry over night.
MATERIALS:
Cheap paper plates (1 per child)
DIRECTIONS:
Cut the large paper plate into 8 equal pie sections
Paint or color each section differently for a colorful project
Let the sections dry over night
Day Four:
The Last Five Plagues (Exodus 9-12).
* Read With Me Bible (pages 113-120).

1 whole large Paper plate
8 pie pieces painted yesterday
Plague images printable
DIRECTIONS:
Glue one plague image on each of the pie pieces (plagues 1-8)
